Originally from New York, Tim graduated from the Hotchkiss School, and received his AB from Dartmouth College, an MBA from Columbia University as well as a certificate in college counseling from UCLA (with distinction). Tim served for many years as an Ivy League admissions ambassador and regional alumni representive; he is an active member of HECA, IECA (Associate), NACAC, and WACAC, attending conferences and tours regularly. He has also undergone training and been certificated by the British Council in order to help applicants understand the UCAS and Oxbridge testing and application processes. He is a longtime entertainment executive, and teaches film, producing, finance, and business at film schools at the BFA, MFA and MBA levels.
As a consultant, Tim works with families and students of good character to find the right match and fit (academically, socially, culturally, and financially), setting young adults up not just for college/university admission, but to succeed personally and professionally afterwards. He regularly visits schools in the United States and the UK (England and Scotland), including many of the most selective, and helps clients craft applications demonstrating their best selves, using knowledge of narrative and storytelling gained over twenty years in the film business. He also assists with the film school application process, including portfolio questions, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Tim travels frequently, and lives in Southern California, Florida, Ireland, Italy, and the West Indies.
