Description of Services : We specialize in supporting families with high school students to navigate all aspects of the college admissions process. We provide a large list of possible 'best fit' schools, and we guide students to their final best fit list. We help students identify their interests and aptitudes. We offer information and guidance for identifying appropriate extracurricular and summer activities, and we coach students to create their activities list. We advise regarding standardized testing and test prep, and we provide interview coaching, and extensive application and essay support. We offer knowledge and expertise that can minimize family stress by keeping students organized and on track to meet application deadlines, minimize college costs, and optimize admission opportunities at institutions where students can thrive.
We also provide admissions consulting and essay coaching for families applying to local (Seattle-area) private secondary schools, and essay guidance for adults applying to graduate programs nationwide.

Description of Experience : I have an extensive background in mental health counseling and social work, and I’ve been working in the field of test prep and college planning for more than 15 years. After taking multiple courses through the UCLA and UC Irvine college counseling graduate programs, I was awarded a certificate as an Independent Educational Consultant by UC Irvine's Division of Continuing Education. I've volunteered as a Virtual College Coach with ScholarMatch in San Francisco to assist low-income, high achieving students apply to colleges they might not otherwise consider. I love working with students and families and helping students to achieve their college goals.
