Description of Services : I work with students to develop a college list based on their individual interests, academic profile and assessments. Once the student's list is finalized I then guide them through the process of applying to the colleges they choose, providing feedback on their applications and essays. I have experience helping athletes find schools that match them academically. I also provide guidance with financial aid and scholarships.

Description of Experience : ?I have my masters degree in instructional design with a focus on college readiness and am working full time as an Independent Educational Consultant. I was full time Career & College Specialist at Thomas Jefferson High School an IB school for 10 years. I have been responsible for providing college admission counseling services to students for the senior and juniors there for 10 years(approx.1000 in Jr & Sr class each year) . Prior to my time at TJHS I spend 2 years at Decatur High School as Guidance Support Specialist where, as part of their High School and Beyond plan, I reviewed applications and personal essays for approximately 600 seniors. While at Thomas Jefferson I have reviewed applications, essays, helped students develop college lists, apply for financial aid and scholarships. I have experience with NCAA and undocumented students. Over the past three years I have working at first on a volunteer basis with some major-junior hockey players as they left there teams to continue their education and as of October 2015 established my business as an LLC and registered my trademark as College Nexus, LLC. I am currently a member of NACAC and PNACAC as a high school counselor/specialist
