Description of Services : Our services begin with a personal consultation including parent(s) and students. If we decide to work together, we begin with an academic review and self assessments to begin to create the 'best-fit' college list. We look at aptitudes and interests in choosing a major and career path. We counsel students on test prep and offer diagnostics as well as test prep services. We also advise students regarding their extra curricular activities in order to help them develop a competitive edge. We provide extensive guidance with applications and essays and guide parents through the financial aid process. When requested, we help parents and students understand their award letters and whether or not an appeal is appropriate. We are very accessible through email and will help with final college decision if requested.

Description of Experience : After retiring from 36 years in the public school system, I realized that I missed working with high school students. I began with my own college planning practice, Soar College Planning in 2010. I merged with Cyndy McDonald at McDonald and Associates for one year and when Cyndy decided to scale back her practice to spend more time developing Guided Path, I resumed my own business.
