Description of Services : COLLEGE ADVISING:
Our philosophy is simple: we believe that exceptional college advising requires, at its heart, a synergistic, mutually responsive relationship between the counselor, student, and family. Embracing this core belief, we facilitate a student-centered, holistic advising process that takes into careful consideration the student’s strengths and goals.

STANDARDIZED TEST PREP:
Freudigman & Billings uses a unique approach to test preparation that focuses on critical thinking, applied reasoning, and problem solving strategies. We help students understand fundamental principles about how the world of information is organized and how they can interact with that information. This process does not involve the rote memorization of vocabulary or inundation of practice questions that many associate with standardized test preparation.

Instead, we focus on teaching students effective strategies for gathering, sequencing, categorizing, and classifying information from text and visual sources. These processes contribute to a student’s ability to reason, solve problems, make inferences, and draw conclusions. F&B offers test prep services for the SAT, ACT, LSAT, GRE, GMAT, ISEE, SSAT, and more.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT:
F&B's Educational Support services provide individualized instruction for children and adolescents experiencing learning challenges. While a regular academic instructor focuses on teaching specific content related to subject matter, Instructional Coaches apply specialized training in learning differences and disabilities to address more systemic issues affecting an individual student’s academic performance. Our Educational Support process is a unique and highly efficacious tutoring model in which students acquire the skill sets, self-knowledge, and resiliency they need to overcome future challenges and successfully launch themselves into their chosen career.

ACADEMIC INSTRUCTION:
Our Academic Instructors provides support in all varieties and levels of coursework. We help reinforce understanding, provide support with weekly homework assignments, prepare students for exams, and develop analytical writing skills on topics ranging from English papers to biology labs.
