HECA Webinar - Picking up the Pieces: Withdrawals, Medical Leaves, and the Transfer Process

May 16, 2024 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM (EDT)

Description

This session will share specific information about the transfer college application process for young adults applying to transfer from four-year colleges or community colleges after adverse experiences. The presenters will specifically address how to respond to a client who withdrew, applying to transfer after the withdrawal, and how some clients need to proceed with retroactive withdrawal. This transfer process can be triggering for young adults, and the presentation will discuss how to appropriately work with clients during this complex time. Support for mental health will be discussed, as well as how to collaborate successfully with university professionals, parents, and other providers.
